Chairman of the board: Dr. Craig H. Barratt übernimmt bei Intel das Ruder

Frank D. Yeary gibt die Position des Chairman of the Board bei Intel ab. Er war seit 2009 im Board vertreten, seit 2023 Vorsitzender. Auf seine Kappe gehen dabei gute und schlechte Entscheidungen, zuletzt brachte er Lip-Bu Tan an Board, der nun Intel als CEO umkrempelt. Der Australier Craig H. Barratt übernimmt nun.

Barratt hat erst seit November 2025 einen Platz im Board. Er hat einen technischeren Hintergrund mit Abschlüssen in Mathematik und Physik, war unter anderem CEO von Atheros Communications, die 2013 von Qualcomm aufgekauft wurden. Auch war er CEO von Barefoot Networks, die wiederum 2019 von Intel gekauft wurden. Barratt passt letztlich besser in Intels neue Linie, den Fokus wieder mehr auf Technologie zu legen.

Since 2024, Intel has appointed four new independent directors, further aligning the board’s composition with the company’s strategic priorities in technology leadership, operational excellence and capital discipline. The board has been intentional in its refreshment efforts, adding directors with skills and backgrounds to map to the future opportunities and challenges the company faces, as well as the experience and perspectives to support Intel’s evolving strategy and long-term stockholder interests.
